Russian hydrographic ship returns home

The hydrographic ship Vice Admiral Vorontsov of the Russian Pacific Fleet has returned to Vladivostok after a three-month expedition, reports the press service of the Eastern Military District.

The ship sailed about 10,000 nautical miles through the Sea of Japan, the Chukchi and Bering seas, with expedition members conducting comprehensive oceanographic research.

Experts studied about 600 square kilometers, and the new data will be used to update current navigational charts, as well as navigation manuals.
