Wind generators and solar panels to be installed in the Arctic

Alternative energy equipment will be delivered to Cape Zhelaniya (the Novaya Zemlya archipelago) to provide research expeditions with environmentally friendly power.

The national park's press service reports that wind generators, solar panels, accumulators and control devices have already been delivered to the national park's office.

Experts point out that using alternative energy systems will provide the park's base station with environmentally friendly power. This will allow for reduced emissions into the atmosphere and guarantee substantial savings.

Cape Zhelaniya is part of the Northern Island of the Novaya Zemlya archipelago. Its operational season lasts from July to September.
