North Pole-2015 drifting station completes its work

Quoting the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment,  Arctic-Info reports that the North Pole-2015 drifting station has completed its work in the Arctic. Its flag was brought down during the closing ceremony.

A helicopter landed near the station to transport 17 polar explorers to the ice breaker.

"Today the icebreaker Captain Dranitsyn reached the site of the drifting station and is getting ready to accept polar explorers and equipment on board," the ministry reported.

The icebreaker left Murmansk for the mission on August 5. The polar explorers are expected to arrive in Murmansk in the middle of August.
