Far Eastern military school graduates first Arctic force officers

The Rokossovsky Far Eastern Higher All-Arms Commander Training School has graduated the first group of officers for military units in the Arctic, TASS reports, quoting the press service of the Eastern Military District.

"The first 20 officers have graduated from the school and now know how to command motorized rifle units in the environment of the Artic," the press service said in a statement.

During their five-year long training course, these officers completed advanced exercises with the Northern Fleet and Arctic brigades. They learned how to ski, to drive snowmobiles and also got to know how to handle dog sleds. During this time they also got to know how to use specialized equipment as well as trained how to survive in severe conditions of the Artic.
