About 1,500 officials to attend The Arctic—Territory of Dialogue Forum

On March 29-30, Arkhangelsk will host The Arctic-Territory of Dialogue international forum, with about 1,500 officials expected to attend, Arkhangelsk Region Governor Igor Orlov told TASS news agency.

"We have mailed about 1,600 invitations to date, and are expecting about 1,500 participants to arrive. This is officials alone," he said.

Vladimir Barbin, ambassador at large from the Russian Foreign Ministry, noted that representatives from the Arctic nations, Arctic Council observer states and some non-Arctic countries were expected to attend.

The Arctic-Territory of Dialogue international forum is a major format for the discussion of current regional issues and Arctic development prospects with a variety of states. The forum will include appearances by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.
