Finland to host Arctic Council summit in May 2019
A summit of the Arctic Council will be held in May 2019, RIA Novosti reports, citing Mikko Hautala, the Finnish ambassador to Russia. The venue of the summit has not been chosen yet.
"The summit is planned to take place at the end of our chairmanship, which is in May 2019," Hautala said to a RIA Novosti reporter during the International Arctic Conference under the aegis of Russia's Security Council.
The Arctic Council chairmanship was passed over to Finland in 2017.
