North Pole-2015 station researchers receive certificates of appreciation

Rossiya Segodnya has hosted a ceremony during which the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Sergei Donskoi, presented certificates of appreciation to researchers for their work on the North Pole-2015 drifting ice station.

Donskoi said there would be more drifting stations in the Arctic. "We have the people and the necessary equipment, and we only need to find a suitable ice floe and hope the weather will cooperate," he said.

The ceremony was conducted at a news conference at the Rossiya Segodnya multimedia news agency on the research results of the North Pole-2015 drifting ice station project. The news conference was held as part of preparations for the Arctic Days in Moscow federal forum, which is scheduled for November 19-21.
