The Russian Government has approved a sustainable development plan for the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East

The Government approved the 2016-2025 plan for the sustainable development of the indigenous peoples of the Russian north, Siberia, and the Far East, and has published Directive No. 1792-r on the official government website.

The document approves the program for implementing stage three of the sustainable development plan for the indigenous peoples of the north, Siberia, and the Far East. It includes a package of measures to preserve the indigenous people's traditional habitats and way of life while modernising economic activity and the social sector (including the education and healthcare systems and the culture sector) in the regions where they traditionally live.

You can access the document on the Russian government website.
