Omsk to host international exhibition of Arctic equipment and technology

On October 7-8, Omsk will host the International Exhibition of High-Tech and Equipment for the Arctic, Siberia and the Far East VTTA-OMSK-2015. Event participants will focus on the development of the Arctic for the first time.

The exhibition will feature cutting-edge technology and equipment for the industrial, social and transport infrastructure, border control systems, communications systems, diagnostic and control systems, equipment designed for extreme climate conditions and much more.

The event is to involve about 250 Russian and foreign participants, and its organizers are expecting 16,000 people to attend.

Members of the Russian Federation Council's Expert Council on the Arctic and Antarctic will hold their visiting session during the exhibition. Participants in a plenary meeting will discuss the organization of inter-regional cooperation in the fields of science and technology as well as industry for developing the Arctic, Siberia and the Far East. And a discussion platform will present science and technology solutions from the Russian Academy of Sciences, public academies and departmental research agencies for developing the Arctic, Siberia and the Far East.
