Ice sculpture festival to be held in Salekhard
The Polar Rhapsody 13th International Ice Sculpture Festival will take place in Salekhard on November 16 to 22, the head of the region's press service reported.
This year, the festival is timed to coincide with the 85th anniversary of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.
The festival will open at the Geolog Culture and Sport Center on November 16.
Masters from Russia, Canada, South Korea, Latvia and Kazakhstan will be working in the square near the culture and business center. The winners will be announced at the official closing ceremony on November 22.
The festival organizers are the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, Yamal Cooperation Fund and Yedineniye (Unity) Russian Sculptors Fund.
