On November 26-27, Naryan-Mar, the administrative center of the Nenets Autonomous Area, will host the Euro-Arctic 2015 oil and gas conference, the area's administration reported on its website. The third Euro-Arctic forum will focus on the prospects of hydrocarbon extraction in the Arctic and adjoining sea shelf.

A roundtable planned to be held on the forum's sidelines will look into prospective cooperation between research organizations and oil and gas companies.

Participants will discuss the activities of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Skolkovo Oil and Gas Center, Skolkovo Foundation, Technologies for Extraction and Use of Hydrocarbons Technological Platform and Institute of Petroleum Chemistry of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
