St. Petersburg to host 3rd International Arctic Legal Forum

On November 26-27, the Third International Arctic Legal Forum, Preservation and Sustainable Development of the Arctic: Legal Aspects, will take place in St. Petersburg. The event has been organized by the Russian Government's Institute of Law and Comparative Legal Studies and the government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area. This year's forum will be devoted to the Arctic's human dimension.

The conference will address the development and preservation of Russia's Arctic zone, including measures to lower excessive barriers to business activity and proposals to stimulate investment activity.

The event will be attended by representatives of the State Duma, the Federation Council, the Russian Government, state agencies of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area and other Russian regions, scientists, and top managers of major Russian and international companies.
