Moscow to host the Arctic-2016 international conference

On February 18-19, 2016, Moscow will host an international conference, Arctic and Shelf Projects: Prospects, Innovations and Development of the Russian Regions (Arctic 2016). The conference venue will be Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University.

The conference will be devoted to current issues and prospects for Arctic and continental shelf development, the role the Arctic plays in satisfying the demand for energy resources, transport and service infrastructure, providing a favorable investment climate, international cooperation and much more.

Other items on the agenda include development of Russian entities and their cooperation on shelf projects, implementation of regional and sectorial programs, human resources training and ensuring social responsibility in the creation of comfortable working and living conditions in the North and the Far East.

Among those expected to participate in the conference are representatives of federal and regional agencies, leading Russian and foreign oil and gas and energy companies and financial, scientific, transport, service and other organizations.
