The Arctic. Made in Russia forum to be held in Tver Region

From February 29 through March 6, 2016, the Tver Region will host the Arctic. Made in Russia international educational youth forum.

The event will bring together more than 200 young specialists, scientists, and master's and postgraduate students from Russia and other countries represented in the Arctic Council whose research or creative interests focus on the Arctic, including oil and gas development.

The aim of the forum is to build the talent pool that Russia needs to provide its Arctic projects with a skilled labor force.

Participants will be divided into 15 teams, each made up of 14 members — 12 Russian and two foreign specialists. The teams will compete against each other in professional skills and business case competitions, and meet with the heads of corporations operating in the Arctic region, ministers, professors from the Russian Academy of Sciences and rectors of Russia's major universities.

A series of roundtables will be organized, such as "The Prospects of Import Substitution," "Hydrocarbon Exploration on the Arctic Shelf"3 and "The Development and Exploitation of Oil Deposits on the Arctic Shelf."

The most active team will be granted an internship at a leading Russian oil and gas company.
