4th China-Nordic Arctic Cooperation Symposium to take place in Rovaniemi

The 4th China-Nordic Arctic Cooperation Symposium will take place in Rovaniemi (Finland) on June 6-9, 2016, the University of the Arctic (UArctic) said on its website. The participants of the event, devoted to the sustainable development of the Arctic, will discuss the following issues:

∙ tourism in the Arctic;

∙ stability of the Arctic;

∙ globalization and the Arctic;

∙ China, Scandinavia and the Arctic.

The China-Nordic Arctic Research Center (CNARC) was founded on December 10, 2013, in Shanghai. It is comprised of four Chinese and six Nordic institutions that coordinate Arctic research. The CNARC aims to promote academic cooperation to increase the general awareness of the Arctic.
