The 4^th National Congress of Reindeer Herders will take place on March 16-19 in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), according to the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area website.

Participants will analyze whether the draft federal law on domestic deer breeding should be adopted and how to improve the mechanism for reindeer insurance against unfavorable environmental conditions and attacks by predators.

The agenda includes a research and practical conference, plenary meetings, seminars, excursions, interregional games, competitions and exhibits.

The congress will involve representatives from reindeer herding regions of Russia.
