The traditional snowmobile races for the Prize of Hero of the USSR and Hero of Russia Artur Chilingarov will take place in Naryan-Mar on March 18, a news report on the region's official website said. The competitions will take place on the Kachgortinskaya Kurya River. 

Participants will compete in five categories: men aged 18-55; young people aged 18-25; women; veterans (men aged 55 or above), and men's free category. The selection and final rounds will all take place on the same day.

Applications to take part can be submitted on March 1-14.

In 2016, the 20^th anniversary competition brought together 57 competitors from Naryan-Mar and remote villages in the region, including five women.
