Murmansk to host International Conference ‘Fishery in the Arctic: Challenges, International Practices, Prospects’

Murmansk will host IV International Conference Fishery in the Arctic: ‘Challenges, International Practices, Prospects' on March 22 and 23, the Murmansk Region's Ministry of Economic Development reports.

The participants are expected to discuss the modernization and state support of the fishing fleet as well as environmental security in the context of international cooperation. The sessions will be devoted to discussions of cooperation between trade unions and fishing associations, personnel policies and research.

The Working Group for Inter-Regional and Border Cooperation of the Intergovernmental Russian-Norwegian Commission on Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation will hold a meeting on the sidelines.
