Arkhangelsk to host The Arctic: Made in Russia youth forum

From March 27 through April 2, 2017, the Arkhangelsk Region will host the third The Arctic: Made in Russia educational youth forum, reports the directorate for youth affairs and patriotic education of the Domestic Policy Department at the administration of the regional governor and government. The forum is to involve young experts from Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Canada and the United States.

"The Arctic: Made in Russia forum is a highly interesting venue for delegates in terms of specific tasks they are expected to accomplish," said Grigory Kovalyov, head of the directorate for youth affairs and patriotic education. "The event will bring together young professionals from all over the country. In an effort to attract the best of the best to work in our region, we have already started searching for potential employers that would act as the forum's partners," he added.

Forum delegates will join multirole teams and will address specific tasks linked with drafting a concept for the development of Arctic anchor zones in the following areas: ground, air and sea transport, legal regulation of the Northern Sea Route, urban development, healthcare and human resources.

After the forum, the most active and talented young experts will complete advanced training courses at companies actively developing the Russian Arctic.
