The Arctic – Territory of Dialogue Forum to be held in Arkhangelsk

On March 29-30, 2017, Arkhangelsk will host a regular The Arctic — Territory of Dialogue international Arctic forum. Held annually since 2010, the forum is the largest international platform for discussing problems facing the Arctic and prospects for regional development.

The key topic on the 2017 forum's agenda is Man in the Arctic. The forum is designed to bring together international organizations, government agencies and scientific and business communities from Russia and other countries in an attempt to work out approaches to promoting international cooperation and consolidating efforts to ensure the sustainable development of the Arctic and improve the living standards of its population.

Discussions will take place in nine themed sections: the history of culture and tourism in the Arctic region, environmental protection, modern energy solutions, transit opportunities, investments, sustainable development and investment attractiveness, cutting edge technologies, health and professional development.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin are expected to attend the forum.
