26 metric tons of gold extracted in Chukotka since January
Gold producers in Chukotka have extracted 26.35 metric tons of gold in the first nine months of this year, a 10 percent increase year-on-year.
Silver production has gone up 11 percent compared to 2014 to reach 115 metric tons, the Arctic-Info agency reported.
The extraction of gold and silver was carried out by five companies: the Chukotka mining and geological closed joint stock company, the Severnoye Zoloto limited liability company, the Rudnik Karalveem open joint-stock company, the Rudnik Valunisty limited liability company and the ZK Mayskoye limited liability company.
