50 Years of Victory icebreaker sets out on seventh North Pole voyage this season

The 50 Years of Victory nuclear-powered icebreaker has set out on its seventh and record-breaking voyage to the North Pole this summer, Arctic-Info reports. Never before has an icebreaker made as many polar cruises in just one season.

According to the Rosatomflot company's press service, the voyage will last 11 days. There are 106 tourists from 16 countries on board the icebreaker.

This year, the vessel will carry a total of about 1,000 tourists to the North Pole and back.
