Tourist center to be built in Yakutsk

A tourist and recreation center called the Northern Mosaic will be built in Yakutsk to promote foreign and domestic tourism, Sakhapress.ru reported. The project includes an ethnic park, a crafts village, a forest village, a horse coach village and a children's entertainment center.

The main focus will be the ethnic park, where the lifestyles of the indigenous peoples of the region will be showcased.

"This'll be a great way to promote our republic. The center will have a positive impact on the tourism industry in Yakutia and especially in the capital," Alexander Androsov, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism Development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), said at a meeting on attracting investors for the new center.  He also noted that admission fees at the new center would be accessible to everyone.
