Nuclear submarine museum opens in Murmansk Region

A museum presenting a history of multipurpose nuclear submarines has opened at the main submarine base of the Russian Northern Fleet in Gadzhiyevo, the Murmansk Region.

"Exhibits include items like the manuscripts of the last commander of the submarine Leopard made in 1915 and the figurine of a cheetah presented by the President of Russia to the crew of the submarine Gepard in Severodvinsk during the ceremony to hoist the St. Andrew flag," the Northern Fleet's press service reported.

The museum exhibition also features copies of documents from the first Russian submarines Vepr and Volk, built in 1915 and 1916, respectively.
