The village of Lorino in Chukotka hosted the 25^th Beringia marine hunters festival, the local authorities' website reported.

The festival's events included the leather kayak race, wrestling, harpoon throwing, triple jumps, jumps over sledges, as well as a contest among fire-keepers, the women who treated festival guests to national cuisine, and a kamleika Chukchi and Eskimo national costume competition.

The best bone carvers and craftsmen descended on Lorino to take part in the Severnoye Siyaniye [Northern Lights] arts and crafts fair, another of the festival events. The Ergyron, Lorinskiye Zori, Bely Parus and Uelen bands performed for the festival's guests and participants.
