Murmansk to host an international conference on Arctic fishing

Current issues related to the development and management of the northern fishing industry will be discussed at the seventh international conference Fishing in the Arctic: Modern Challenges, International Practices, Prospects, one of the main professional dialogue venues in Russia's Arctic, to take place in Murmansk on March 24.

This year the conference will focus on state support for the Arctic fishery industry. Experts will also cover the issues of modern aquaculture and fish processing in the Arctic region and international cooperation in fishing. Over 100 representatives of governments, public organisations and business from Russia, Norway, Iceland, the Netherlands, Belgium and other countries are expected to take part in the conference.
