The season of winter route count of wild animals and birds has been completed in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area. Over one hundred of inspectors were involved in estimating the number of animals in generally accessible hunting areas and conservation areas, the Yamal state TV and radio broadcasting company reported.

Overall, the inspectors covered some 500 routes. Upon processing, all gathered data will be put into a unified database. After that, decisions will be taken on quotas for the upcoming hunting season.
