15 illegal waste dumps removed in Arkhangelsk Region

Russian Popular Front members together with local authorities have removed 15 illegal waste dumps in the Arkhangelsk Region, the regional government's press service reported. The work was completed as part of the Thorough Cleaning project, with 70 illegal waste dumps already marked on the interactive map.

Activists from the regional branch of Russian Popular Front movement presented the results at an expert meeting that gathered relevant ministers from the Arkhangelsk Region government, local self-governing bodies, coordinators of the Front's projects in the region, and experts from the movement's regional branch.

"Russian Popular Front projects are currently a priority for us," said Oleg Konoplyov, co-chairman of the movement's regional office. "Today local government representatives assured Russian Popular Front experts that they will continue to get involved in the projects. Our main task now is to listen to people's opinions and take it onboard as best we can. Every resident in our region should be able to see the results of our work, and we should encourage as many active citizens as possible to join our projects," he emphasized.
