Arctic animals appear on Moscow Metro cards
Reindeer and walruses are now being depicted on smart Troika card keychains, issued by the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Moscow Metro.
“Due to cooperation between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Moscow Metro, metro passengers now can learn about the unique animals that inhabit out country. We are implementing the projects to promote environmental protection and raise environmental awareness, and we would be happy if these initiatives receive as many supporters as possible,” said Darya Matsuk, head of Roszapovedtsentr, the federal center for the preservation of biological and land diversity, eco-tourism and awareness.
The Troika keyrings can be purchased on the Moscow Metro’s website, in the flagship stores at the Trubnaya and Mayakovskaya stations, as well as at Live Help desks. Cards featuring the sea eagle and the sea otter are also available.
