Helicopter landing pads could be added to the rescue centers that are being built on Russia's Arctic coast, RIA Novosti reported, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

There are four comprehensive rescue centers, four regional search and rescue groups and two naval rescue and coordination centers on the Russian Arctic coast.

The Emergencies Ministry said they are considering creating an aviation wing and building helipads at all Arctic rescue centers.
