Governor: Arkhangelsk to present its Arctic project at The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue Forum

The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue international forum is due to take place in Archangelsk on March 29-30. The Arkhangelsk Region plans presenting a project to develop a core zone in the Arctic. The aim of this is to coordinate efforts of all interested parties in the area. This has come from Governor Igor Orlov who was speaking with RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the Russian Investment Forum.

"We have a project to launch the Arkhangelskaya reference zone. This means creating a reliable logistics structure that will coordinate efforts of all participants in the development of the Arctic," Mr. Orlov pointed out.

The governor said that the Arkhangelsk Region would also be presenting some of its other projects at the forum as well. "We have Northern (Arctic) Federal University — the only federal university in the area and we will be presenting their start-up projects," he added.

The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue international forum has been held since 2010 and is the largest platform for Russia and its foreign partners to discuss pressing matters as well as possibilities for regional development.
