Marina Kovtun: Investment in the Kola core zone to be 500 billion rubles

Around 500 billion rubles will be invested in the Kola core development zone, Murmansk Region Governor Marina Kovtun said during a report on the regional government's work.

"The Kola core development zone concept comprises more than 30 investment projects worth a total of close to 500 billion roubles", she said.

The group includes companies such as Novatek, Rosneft, Apatit, North-West Phosphorous Company and Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company, as well as companies engaged in the development of mineral resources and modernization of the existing production facilities. There are also plans to include projects that will develop new types of production in the region, such as titanium dioxide, rare and rare earth metals, chrome alloys and other infrastructure projects.
