Water station built at Pacific Fleet Arctic headquarters at Cape Schmidt

A modular water production station and two diesel power plants are built at the Arctic headquarters of the Pacific Fleet at Cape Schmidt in Chukotka, RIA Novosti reports citing the Russian Defense Ministry's Department of Information and Mass Communications. The plans for the current year are to build 17 buildings and facilities and put them into operation.

"The construction of two diesel power plants and a new modular water production station with a capacity of 8 cubic meters' per hour has been completed. The facilities have been approved by the state compliance expertise of the Russian Defense Ministry," the report reads.

According to the agency, adjustments have been made to the maintenance of water treatment facilities with a snow melting unit, a melting chamber and a station with a purified water reserve system.

Construction of seven utilities structures, including those intended for the stay of military personnel, have been completed at the Arctic headquarters of the Pacific Fleet at Cape Schmidt.
