Canada to cooperate with Russia in the Arctic

The new Canadian Government headed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau plans to resume cooperation with Russia in the Arctic, the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs Stephane Dion told The Ottawa Citizen newspaper, reports the Arctic-Info agency.

He said Canada should think about its national interests because Russia was its Arctic neighbor and he noted that the previous Canadian government had terminated virtually all bilateral contact.
