Department of State: US, Russia continue Arctic cooperation
Russia and the United States continue to cooperate in the Arctic despite their current differences, Admiral Robert J. Papp. Jr., United States Special Representative for the Arctic, told the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
He said the United States had worked with Russia on Arctic issues during previous political crises, and that it supported environmental protection and navigation safety efforts in the region, according to Rossiya Segodnya.
Admiral Papp noted that cooperation venues included the Arctic Forum and other international organizations.
