Kovtun: International cooperation remains a priority
The international conference ‘Arctic Polar Routes' was held during the 4th Murmansk International Business Week, the press service of the Murmansk Region Governor reported. Meeting participants discussed issues concerning international cooperation within the region, assessed its socioeconomic status and development prospects as well as provided participants information about the plans of both new and well-established companies.
"International cooperation remains a priority for us. We have some good old friends and we are happy to welcome new ones. The same can be said about the economy. Our industrial giants are not deviating from their plans. This year, not a single major project was mothballed in the Murmansk Region, and not a single taxpayer left the region. Moreover, we are even attracting new investors," Marina Kovtun, Governor of the Murmansk Region, noted.
She believes that trustful and confidential cooperation between the business community and state power agencies is a recipe for success and is the pillar of a modern economy.
