Russia to take part in symposium on the outcome of changing ice conditions in the Arctic

Russia will be represented at the 7th Symposium on the Impacts of an Ice-Diminishing Arctic on Naval and Maritime Operations, July 17-22, Washington D.C., TASS news agency cites the press service of the Russian Embassy in Washington D.C.

"Russia will be represented by Vladimir Pavlenko, Vice President of the International Arctic Science Committee, research adviser at the Federal Center for Integrated Arctic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, DSc in Economy, professor," the statement reads.

"Besides his involvement during the symposium, Pavlenko also plans on holding meetings with those in charge of implementing Arctic programs under the United States National Academy of Sciencesand the National Science Foundation," the message adds.
