Alexander Tsybulsky takes office as Nenets Autonomous Area Governor

Alexander Tsybulsky, who had been elected governor of the Nenets Autonomous Area, has recently taken an oath and assumed his duties as governor.

Tsybulsky was elected during the regular meeting of the Nenets Autonomous Area's council of deputies held on Monday. He was elected by a majority from a list of three candidates. In the course of the past year, Tsybulsky served as the region's acting governor. During the swearing-in ceremony, he took the oath, pledging to respect the law and the people's rights, and to work for the benefit of the autonomous area.

The governor is elected for a five-year term and enters office after taking the oath in accordance with the Nenets Autonomous Area statute. Alexander Tsybulsky was appointed Acting Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Area by the executive order of the Russian President of September 28, 2017.
