Russian Post issues stamps featuring Teriberka
About 35,000 postage stamps depicting the Arctic landscape of the settlement of Teriberka in the Murmansk Region have been delivered to post offices in Russia.
The stamps in denominations of 27 and 63 rubles are part of the Arctic Tourism series.
"We are glad to tell everyone about the beautiful, remote corners of our country on philatelic products. Tourism in the high latitudes is gaining popularity every year, and we hope that as many people as possible will learn about Teriberka," said Dmitry Serebrennikov, director of the North-West macro-region of Russian Post.
A special postmark with November 25, 2022 as the cancellation date, artistic covers with a vignette, first-day envelopes and a miniature sheet with holographic foil have also been issued in addition to the stamps.
