RN-Shelf-Arctic, a Rosneft subsidiary, plans to carry out 2D seismic exploration, gravimetric and magnetic survey at the Khatangа section of the Laptev Sea's south-western shelf, a statement on the Rosneft website reads.

Public hearings on the exploration program were conducted in Dudinka, the administrative center of the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets municipal district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and in the villages Saskylakh and Yuryгng-Khaya of the Anabarsky District of Yakutia. The program, including materials to evaluate the environmental impact was approved.

The statement adds that the survey will be conducted in strict compliance with the international and Russian law on environment protection.
