Novak: Gazprom and ONGC to study exploration opportunities at Dolginskoye field

Gazprom Neft and India's ONGC signed an agreement to cooperate on geological exploration in the Dolginskoye field, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told journalists. The signing ceremony was held on the sidelines of The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue International Arctic Forum.

"Today, Gazprom Neft and Indian ONGC signed an agreement to cooperate on geological exploration in the Dolginskoye field," Novak said.

Together, the companies will "work out the feasibility of geological exploration in this field."

The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue International Arctic Forum is being held in Arkhangelsk on March 29-30, 2017. This year's main theme is People and Their Arctic. The forum aims to unite international organizations, state agencies and scientific and business communities from Russia and abroad to coordinate approaches to the development of international cooperation, the consolidation of efforts to ensure the stable development of the Arctic and to improve the standard of living of the Arctic population.

The event is being attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.
