Gazprom Neft to produce over 3 million tons of oil at Prirazlomnoye field in 2018

Gazprom Neft is set to expand oil production at the Prirazlomnoye field to over 3 million metric tons next year, a substantial increase from the 2.6 million metric tons due to be reached by late 2017, Andrei Patrushev, the company's deputy general director, said at the 13th RAO/CIS Offshore 2017 International Conference and Exhibition for Oil and Gas Resources Development of the Russian Arctic and Continental Shelf.

"We are set to produce about 2.6 million metric tons of oil this year, and we expect to expand production to over three million metric tons in 2018," Patrushev told RIA Novosti.

In August, Alexei Urusov, head of the company's economic service, said Gazprom Neft had started retooling the Prirazlomnoye field, work which should finish in October this year. Earlier, the company's CEO, Alexander Dyukov, said oil output at Prirazlomnoye would reach 2.5-2.6 million metric tons in 2017 despite a three-month shutdown.

According to the agency, Gazprom Neft has boosted production at Prirazlomnoye more than 2.5-fold on 2015, to 2,154,000 metric tons of oil.
