Russian icebreaker to sail on roundtrip cruise in 2016

In 2016, the icebreaker Captain Khlebnikov will carry tourists on a roundtrip Arctic cruise from Anadyr and back, reports the Arctic-Info news agency. The cruise runs from July 12 until September 22.

From July 12 until August 4, the ship will sail the Northern Sea Route in the Russian part of the Arctic. On August 4-24, it will circumnavigate Greenland. On August 22 — September 8, it will sail along the Canadian coast, returning to Anadyr on September 22.

The passengers will visit Wrangel Island, the Novosibirsk Islands, Severnaya Zemlya, Novaya Zemlya, Franz Josef Land, Svalbard, Greenland and the Canadian Arctic.
