Naryan-Mar to host the Accessible Arctic international tourism forum

From March 31 through April 2, Naryan-Mar will host the Accessible Arctic international arctic tourism forum, reports the website of the Nenets Autonomous Area government. The event will provide opportunities for dialogue and for developing a strategy of cooperation between the government, public circles, and academic and business communities during the implementation of a program for the sustained development of Arctic tourism until 2020.

Forum participants are to discuss international cooperation in organizing Arctic tours, creating and upgrading the tourist infrastructure, attracting investors under public-private partnership, and promoting new areas of Arctic tourism. The participants will submit successful Russian and international practices on the creation and development of small and medium-sized Arctic tourism programs.

The event is sponsored by the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism along with the Administration of the Nenets Autonomous Area as part of the Development of Domestic and Inbound Tourism in the Russian Federation (2011-2018) federal targeted program.
