Aeroflot passengers to be shown “Children of the Arctic” animated series

The Russian animated series “Children of the Arctic” has appeared in Aeroflot’s on-board multimedia entertainment system as part of cooperation with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.

“The Russian Arctic is about 5 million square kilometers, which is almost a quarter of the area of ​​our country; it offers incredible nature and great economic opportunities. In cooperation with Aeroflot, we tell people about the Arctic, covering the maximum audience of travelers, including young passengers,” said Elvira Nurgaliyeva, Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic.

The animated series “Children of the Arctic” is part of the information and educational project of the same name, implemented with support from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation and the Center for Arctic Initiatives. The animated series is designed for viewers of any age and speaks in an accessible and informative way about the lifestyles and unique culture of the indigenous peoples of the Russian North. Aeroflot passengers have access to two seasons with 10 episodes each.

The availability of the “Children of the Arctic” series aboard the planes of the leading Russian airline is a consistent step in the cooperation between Aeroflot and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation. In 2022, the companies agreed to work together and implement measures aimed at increasing the investment and tourist attractiveness, and food security of the Far Eastern Federal District and Russia’s Arctic zone.
