A celebratory meeting of the polar explorers who worked on the North Pole-2015 drifting polar research station took place in Murmansk on August 16. The Captain Dranitsyn icebreaker brought the station's polar workers and equipment to the mainland. The North Pole-2015 seasonal drifting ice station was opened on April 18, 2015. The polar explorers conducted a broad range of meteorological, aerological, oceanological, glaciological, hydro-chemical, hydro-biological and magnetometric studies. The official closing of the station took place on August 9, and the station's equipment was returned to the mainland on August 10-11.
