Surface stations for the Skif satellite communications system to be built in Murmansk, Norilsk and Anadyr

The Academician Reshetnyov Information Satellite Systems Company has developed ground base stations for the Skif system which will provide users with high-speed broadband internet access to users. Each of them will have four antenna arrays.

Plans include three Skif-linked ground base stations: one in Murmansk and the other two in Norilsk and Anadyr. These three sites were chosen because they can offer an uninterrupted connection between any Skif satellite and two surface stations.

The Skif satellites will orbit the Earth at 8,070 kilometers in three orbital planes with an inclination of 90 degrees relative to the equator, which will help provide quality service, including in the northern regions of the Russian Federation.
