Bridge over the Aldan River opened in Yakutia

A bridge over the Aldan River has been opened on the Aldan-Olekminsk-Lensk Motorway, Arctic-Info reported, citing the Press Service of the Ministry of Transport and Roads of Yakutia.

At the ceremony to launch traffic on the bridge, Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Omukov expressed hope that the event would facilitate socioeconomic development of the republic.

The bridge's construction began in 2013 as part of an agreement on commissioning infrastructure facilities of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline.

The bridge stretches for 431.54 linear meters with an area of over 4,000 square meters.
