Fourth Arctic Energy Summit to be held in Helsinki

On September 18-20, 2017, the fourth Arctic Energy Summit will be held in Helsinki, Finland, according to UArctic website. The summit will be hosted by the Institute of the North and the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

The three-day agenda will include such issues as oil and gas; geothermal energy; solar energy; wind energy; hydropower and tidal energy; utilities; micro-grids; energy policy and regulation; local community impact; energy financing and investment; and climate change and energy security.

The Arctic Energy Summit will focus on the Arctic as a leader in the development and combination of renewable energy sources and as an exporter of world-class knowledge and experience.

To participate in the summit, send your abstracts to Hanna Eklund, Institute of the North (heklund@institutenorth.org) no later than on January 18, 2017. Speakers will be notified of the acceptance of abstracts no later than March 15. The summit program will be developed and sent to the speakers in April.
