The international conference Arctic Wildlife: Preserving Biodiversity, Assessing Ecosystems' will take place on October 30 — November 3, 2017 in Arkhangelsk. This year's event will mark The Year of the Environment.

The conference is organized by several Russian Academy of Sciences institutions: the Scientific Council on Problems of Ecology of Biological Systems, the Scientific Council on Hydrobiology and Ichthyology of the Biological Science Department, the Commission for Preserving Biodiversity, and Russian Theriological Society.

The conference will be held at the Northern (Arctic) Federal University and at the Laverov Federal Research Center for the Complex Studies of the Arctic, Russian Academy of Sciences. Oral and online presentations are scheduled.
